Delegation visit: Exploring Bioeconomy Horizons in Reims!
Last week, Bio4MatPro had the privilege of being part of a distinguished delegation, comprised of researchers, entrepreneurs, industry experts, as well as intermediaries from the Rheinischen Revier converging in Reims for a comprehensive exploration of the bioeconomy landscape.
The journey commenced with a gracious reception at the city hall of Reims, by representatives of the Communauté urbaine du Grand Reims, the city of Reims as well as the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, with Anne Desveronnieres, Vice-President Grand Reims, Prof. Essaid Ait Barka, Vice-President at the University of Reims and Dimitri Oudin, the Deputy Mayor of Reims. Their warm welcome set the stage for a fruitful exchange of ideas and insights.
Deep insides into the research activities and state-of-the-art laboratories at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne was given, as well as the oppurtunity to gain valuable perspectives on the forefront of bioeconomy. Engaging discussions on current and future research topics underscored the collaborative spirit driving innovation in the field. A great thank you to Christophe Clement, First Vice President of the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA), Prof. Essaid Ait Barka, Philippine Henry, Alpin Charbaut and Narjis Laoufi, Prof. Caroline Rémond-Zilliox, Prof. Cedric Jacquard, Pauline Rapinat, Célia Greinier.
Ein Höhepunkt des Besuchs war die Besichtigung des Bazancourt Pomacle Biorefinery,
eine 160 Hektar große Anlage, in der jährlich mehr als 3 Millionen Tonnen verschiedener Biomassen zu Produkten für die Lebensmittel-, Chemie-, Kosmetik- und Biokraftstoffindustrie verarbeitet werden. Der Anblick nachhaltiger Verfahren in dieser Größenordnung bestärkte die Delegation in ihrem Engagement für die Förderung umweltfreundlicher Lösungen.
Nicht zuletzt hatte die Delegation das Privileg, das dynamische Team von Innovact kennenzulernen, das sich für die Förderung innovativer Start-ups einsetzt. Ihr Engagement bei der Umsetzung von Ideen in die Realität entsprach genau dem Auftrag von Bio4MatPro . Ein besonderer Dank geht an Peter Gier für die Organisation, die einen reibungslosen und produktiven Besuch ermöglicht hat. Die Erfahrung hat eine Fülle von wertvollen Erkenntnissen hinterlassen, und wir sind gespannt auf die Aussicht auf eine zukünftige Zusammenarbeit.
